silyara1. An Alice in Wonderland themed lj layout for my regular account. Mine already is, but now that I'm plus, I'd like to have something that looks a bit nicer. The colors could be similar or not. Up to you. But in images, I'd prefer not Disney unless you make it look über amazing somehow so I get over the Disney-ness. >.>
2. Icons: Grey's Anatomy, Harry Potter, miscellaneous. Basically look at the ones I use for my main account (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
fivelostlovers) and my alt silyara and that should give you an idea of my tastes. I might not use them RIGHT AWAY, but I keep a folder of "icons to use" on my computer. So they definitely will be used. :D
3. A Draco fic. Preferably at least 1000 words. It can have a pairing or not. If there is one, please make it believable (AKA don't say start off with H/D wuv each other and never argue....riiiiiight). I'd prefer no whore!Draco or completelyreformed!Draco or deatheater!Draco. Basically, keep him in character. And canon with optional sans epilogue. I get that it may sound picky, but if it's going to be written for me, then I think it's fair to say what types of things annoy me in Draco fics (I'd hate for someone to go through the effort of writing me a fic and without knowing it including something I hate). On that note, no abusive!Lucius. Anyway, sorry if that comes off annoying or whatever. Btw,furiosity, if you're reading this, I've loved almost every one of your Draco fics :D, so basically any kind of Draco fic you write usually fits. >.> And other H_E authors I haven't met/read the works of, linking me to old stuff is always awesome.
4. Photoshop tutorials. All ye amazing artists out there (and there are a looooot of them), perhaps some tutorials on how you do stuff, perhaps using something you've done. Even starting as early as how to find the pic would be awesome (and if you use your own, link to your photos?).
5. Fan art/manip of an OC of mine. There's Olga on M_E, or my main other one, well, I'll give some basics here, and if you're interested, let me know, and I'll tell you more. Jaden Fleming Phelps. She's the daughter of Sirius Black and Meredith Fleming Phelps, an American witch with whom Sirius had a one night stand (he never knew). She has black hair, length depending on age. Her eyes are blue. She ended up about 5'7" and 135 pounds. If she had been sorted at Hogwarts, she would be a Slytherin. She has a very long complicated and detailed history. :D
6.Digital versions of the HP books. I heard that someone posted the link to the digital HP 7 in the claw common room, but I haven't found that yet. But links to any of the books digitally that I could download would be...amazing. No more flipping through pages going "I know this part was riiight in here..." THANK YOU! I HAVE THEM ALL NOW! :D
7. Recipes for really good mixed drinks, preferably with vodka as the alcoholic base as opposed to other alcohols. I don't necessarily mean the standard whatever. But have you altered it, or are there some drinks that are SO amazing. I prefer not to taste the alcohol in a mixed drink, if that helps.
8. Mixed Tape for Draco, Aberforth, or Minerva. Actually, just the song list and order that'd be for a mixed tape (album cover like some of the KICK ASS ones in Hogsmeade would be amazing but totally not necessary). I get try to get myself any songs I don't have on the list. :)
9. LJ Gifts. I was loathe to ask since it involves actual...money. But paid account or extra icon space would be appreciated if you feel so generous as to go that route.
10. If you REALLY want to snail mail me some gift, let me know. It could be books, a scarf (I desperately need a scarf), or really anything you think I'd like (see my profile). I'm doing the M_E gift exchange via a proxy, and a few more gifts sent there is fine, but only a few, so comment if you want to, and the first 3/4 can do it.

Date: 2007-11-18 01:19 pm (UTC)One of my favorites is a shot called a Wicked White, which a lovely bartender in Texas made for me a couple of years back when I was at a party with a bunch of friends. It became our drinks of the night, and we still celebrate with it whenever we have a chance.
Wicked White: mix equal parts coconut milk, vodka, and kahlua in a shaker with ice. Shake until liquid is well-chilled. Drain into multiple shot glasses, and enjoy!
As my base of choice is rum, I'll have to do a bit of thinking for more recipes; if the above comes out a little strong, lessen the amount of vodka so the kahlua is the key ingredient, and you should be just fine. Cheers!

Date: 2007-11-19 10:02 pm (UTC)A friend of mine used to make this drink in college when we had parties - it was inexpensive and you could make pretty large servings, which was always a plus. I am not a fan of crap tasting alcohol, and this drink tastes more fruity than anything else, which is one of the reasons I liked it so much.
How much you use of each ingredient is up to you, I'll put the amounts we used (it filled a pretty large punch bowl).
Devil's Punch:
Fruit Punch (1 bottle)
7 Up (1 bottle)
Champagne (1 bottle)
Vodka (any kind, we always bought an inexpensive brand, but if we had the money we would spring for something nicer).
Pour the fruit punch and 7 Up into a large punch bowl. Then mix in the champagne, followed by the vodka. You can add the vodka in whatever amount you want - depending on how strong you prefer your drinks.
The fruit punch and 7 Up mask the taste of the vodka so it tastes more like a fruity drink than an alcoholic one. This can be a good or bad thing, because I've noticed people tend to drink more of it at a faster rate because the taste of the alcohol isn't as strong as other drinks, even though the kick is still definitely there and you'll end up feeling it later :)
My mom also makes a slightly similar version of this drink. What she does different is she leaves out the fruit punch and vodka and just uses 7 Up (or Sprite) and Champagne (although you could probably use vodka if you wanted) and then puts in sherbert ice cream. It sounds a little weird, but it's a big hit at all the family gatherings.
