I'm still not finished with Dexter, and I've only seen 1-2 episodes of Being Human so those will have to wait. Same goes for Leverage, Merlin, TVD, and Supernatural.

I can, however, discuss Firefly, Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Harry Potter, How I Met Your Mother, and the True Blood series, but not the books. I'm not done with them yet. :)

I'm the same way with the books. I don't understand their appeal. I'm forcing myself through Book 2 because every promises me it gets insanely better by Book 4. I'm trusting them.

I mainly watched the show because I'm a bit of a vampire snob (got through all of it in a few days), and like...lots of the vampire specific bits I dislike (specifically what happens when they die, for example), but there are hot people, and who knows, I'll probably just marathon again at some point.

Ooooh, that's hard. I don't know, I don't have a specific Favorite, but I do like lotsa people. And I go back and forth a lot. I do like Mer and Cristina. And Alex I love mostly, sometimes hate. And I could go on and on, but I'm not as tied to the show as I used to be unfortunately. =/

I still mourn The Sarah Connor Chronicles. And Firefly, but I've mostly gotten over that one by now.

What do you think of Being Human? One of my friends has been bugging me to check it out, but she's also into Twilight, so I'm not sure I trust her judgement any.

I'll admit Summer Glau was why I started watching them, and I don't watch Terminator stuff in general, but it was pretty decent I think.

Oh god, Firefly - everyone knows that one. However, I didn't see it until after it was canceled, so I was pre-heart broken which doesn't hurt as much.

Being Human is pretty decent. It's not Great or anything, but they do curious interesting things, some stuff no one has done before. And the acting of the main trio is pretty good. It's definitely better than Twilight (*stab stab stab*), but it's nowhere near Doctor Who or something. (btw 2 of 3 main actors on BH have been in Who and another recurring character as well).

I think I might've been the only weirdo in the world that started watching for Thomas Dekker. I was just so pissed that he wasn't coming back as his minor-ass character in Heroes, so I checked out TSSC (and I've never watched anything else Terminator before, except for parts of a crappy Chinese dub), and I really liked it. The biggest shame about it being canceled was just that it's not like FOX had better shows to replace it with.

Summer Glau there actually made me watch Firefly, cancelled as it was, except I found River annoying--but still an amazing show.

Yeah, I was really impressed with Gilbert in DW, so I've been reevaluating my decision to skip watching Being Human. Dude had a great presence, and I'm really curious to see more stuff with him in it. I recognized Alonso, but who was the other lead on DW?

haha, I've never seen Heroes so I didn't know he was there. Btw, Lena Headey (sp?) is going to be Cersei and was Sarah Connor (part of me is so going to think of her that way, lol). So whew inter-show inter-actors whatnot.

I love River! But to each their own.

Annie was in Gridlock, just one episode, and she is way more amazing in Being Human than in DW, but this time around I spotted her. Also, if you remember the female cactus person from End of Time, her actor is in Being Human. Gilbert is awesome and definitely impressive as an actor.

I'm psyched about Lena as Cersei, what with me one of the few people that likes Cersei (not that I'd want to be her friend, but she's interesting). I'm still looking forward to Harry Lloyd most myself, but that's partially just because I'm hoping a silver-haired Harry Lloyd could replace all the male supermodels as a proper Draco Malfoy PB.

I wanted to like River so much! It just didn't happen, but I think it would've if the show were around long enough to properly resolve her backstory, but FOX is stupid.

I am psyched for Lena as Cersei. I believe she'll do a great job as her. I do however hate Cersei, and I really don't expect that to change. Harry Lloyd I am excited for! I really hope he'll do it justice. And lol, maybe that too. XD

Back during the casting speculation, I was pretty meh to everyone people suggested for Cersei, but then they announced Lena Headey and I was like YES! She's supposed to be hated though, like Umbridge, though it's funner to hate Umbridge than Cersei. A part of me wishes they had cast Harry Lloyd for Theon instead of Viserys (nothing against Alfie Allen, I just really like Harry Lloyd), but if anyone can do Viserys' crazy scenes and actually be menacing rather than awkwardly looney, it's him.

My friend actually made me watch the pilot episode one day, the really long-ass one with a very slow opening. It baffled me and turned me off the series for a year or two until I got bored and hit up Hulu--and lo and behold, it was awesome.

I liked Serenity, but it clashes a bit with Firefly canon that jive quite right with me, but it was a good movie nonetheless. Wash's death made me bawl, which was a little embarrassing, but hey, I liked Wash!

Yea, during lots of casting stuff, I didn't quite get the right vibe from a lot of people. Lena I liked. And Sean Bean. And Harry Lloyd. Alfie Allen just, no matter his acting skills, does not look a thing like Theon in my mental image - his face just isn't shaped right. I dunno. But yea, I'm excited for Viserys!

I had like a few false starts on episodes because I was confused as to the order they were supposed to go in (they didn't come out all in order). But I still liked that episode.

Oh man, I baaaaaaaaaawled like a baby when Wash died. Oh Wash. *hug*

Have you seen Dollhouse? Alan Tudwyk came on that for a bit!

I'm really hoping Alfie Allen's a phenomenal actor because I can get used to his face as Theon; I mean, if he can sell the sizzle, I'll buy the sausage, but that sizzle better be magnificent. I always saw Theon with a sharp chin, maybe because of Amok's art, and he really ain't got that.

Hulu conveniently listed the episodes in, if not the right order, a sensical order, so that worked out for me. I was so upset with the way the last episode was just another regular episode, but I guess that's what Serenity was for.

I tried to watch Dollhouse, really I did, but I just couldn't get past episode two. I considered just watching the episodes with Alan Tudyk, but I figured I wanted to avoid all spoilers in case I legit watched the series someday. Online streaming is the best invention for TV addict ever, I swear.

Yea, I'm hoping he is awesome too because I have that same vision of Theon's chin XD XD XD XD XD Go Amok. Or whatnot. But yea, if he does stellar job with it, then yay.

Hmm, I don't watch things on Hulu, so I don't know its order, but I don't know, with one season, a huuuuge finale would've felt weird, at least with the plot lines developed how they were developed thus far.

Okay, the thing with Dollhouse, to me, is that you oughtta stick through at least Man on the Street (episode 5 or 6). I own the first season on dvd, and Joss Whedon talks in one of the commentaries about how he views that episode as the pilot because Fox kept making him explain explain explain in the previous episodes and had to find creative ways of doing so without being boring. Dollhouse really starts developing then, and oh season 2 is EPIC.

Yeah, how Firefly ended up was probably for the best if it had to be cancelled, but in the moment, it was such a letdown, especially since I'd already seen Serenity at that point. At that point, my stream of consciousness stopped at MOAR I WANTS MOOAAAR!!

FOX needs to die in a fire--I'm glad they turned down american!Torchwood after all the shows they screwed up. The endless explain explain explain in the early episodes turned off basically everyone I know irl minus someone's mom. And let me tell you, getting updates on a TV show from a friend's mom is kinda weird. I'll take you at your word and add Dollhouse to my list of Shows To Watch This Summer list though. I could use some EPIC in my life!

Ah, I saw Serenity after Firefly. I'm so spoilerphobic and like watching things in the right order. How I roll. But yea, I definitely wanted more. I saw it after seeing SEVEN seasons of Buffy and FIVE seasons of Angel. And it was like "...this is all we get?"

Oh yes Fox needs to die. And Joss Whedon needs to stop going to them with his awesome shows! I liked Dollhouse from the start, and I do enjoy the early episode, even though they're nothing compared to the others. But I just loved the characters and the actors playing them were awesome. So that yea, I handled it. And oh, the epic is there.

btw, I recommend watching Epitaph I and Epitaph II after seeing all the others!

I saw Serenity first a bit after it came out, but I only remembered it vaguely when I finally got around to watching Firefly (I didnt even remember Wash died!). I recalled it wasn't exactly conclusive even within the mythos established in the movie alone. The setting's just so rich that it's one of the few sci-fi worlds where the universe really does feel huge, and I know I've only glimpsed a tiny bit of it. Which sucks.

Is Joss Whedon in some bizarro contract with them or something? Surely any other channel would be happy to have one of his shows--the dude's a brand name by now, after all, and after all the BS he's gone through, I don't get why he keeps going back to Fox. It's like a wife that keeps going back to an abusive husband thinking maybe, just maybe, it'll be better this time. It makes my soul weep.

Firefly's world is just so HUGE. I know exactly what you mean. I want more more more more more! I wanna know more about wtf there is there! I've thought about it a lot, but there's so much we just don't know that I have a feeling whatever I try to imagine up is just wrong.

I don't know! Otherwise, it makes no sense to keep going there. He could SO get a contract effing anywhere, srsly. He's SO awesome, instant audience no matter the show, etc. *sigh*

You know, I've always wanted to read through the Firefly d20 rpg book in hopes that there's more setting content in there, because as much as I adore the characters, I'd tune in any day for a spin-off with a whole new cast just as long as it was the same setting. I would anyway because it's Joss Whedon, but even if it weren't so, I'd still be back for more. I never get it when people say the space cowboy thing isn't really sci-fi, because for me sci-fi is where the world's infinitely limitless and we've always got more to explore, and Firefly gets that right.

If a man can make a 10-minute low-budget iPod show sell, then he's too damn good for Fox. The fans should stage an intervention.

Oooooooh, I'm tempted as well. Just for moooooooooar. I'm always a world!whore. I love finding out more about the world and end up developing stuff and ideas and whatnot that has nothing to do with the major characters. It's part of why I really like HP and ASoIaF. Both have so large of worlds made. Buffyverse too somewhat, actually. And Firefly having one obviously made me like it more, but I want to know it now.

And yea, dude can do so much. He wrote tonight's Glee! (which had Neil Patrick Harris in it).

It's really nice to know I'm not the only world!whore around. XD It's definitely the same way for me in HP--as soon as we hit Diagon Alley in the first book, I was in love. I wasn't even attached to any of the characters until Umbridge (who I love to hate), but the books were gripping anyway. ASOIAF benefits from awesome world, plot, and characters, but it's the little details (house words! I love house words!) make me the fangirl that I am. It's nice to get lost in a brand new world where everything's new and exciting.

Both have so large of worlds made.
This is the best quarter-to-5AM sentence I've ever read. I'm just saying.

I also gobble up all the extra stuff JK's given because it adds to it, adds history and depth and whatnot. And oh yes ASOIAF is even so much more better on that! And yea, I love all the little details, and I've rarely if ever written fic on major people, mostly minor and/or historical!
